Our support allows organizations across the
country to make a difference through unique educational, informational
and outreach initiatives that promote the early recognition
and treatment of mental illness and encourage leadership in
the field of psychiatry. We offer several opportunities for
funding:
Call
For Proposals
Grant making under this program
has been temporarily suspended while a new Call for Proposals
is being developed. Please monitor this website periodically for updates and availability of a call for proposals
Disaster
Recovery Fund for Psychiatrists
Grants from the Disaster Recovery Fund for Psychiatrists assist
psychiatrists and psychiatric residents who have been adversely
affected by disasters such as hurricanes Katrina, Rita and
Wilma.
Helping Hands
Grant Program
The Helping Hands Grant Program provides
grants of up to $5,000 to medical schools for mental health service
projects that are created and managed by medical students.
James H.
Scully Jr., M.D., Educational Fund
The James H. Scully Jr., M.D., Educational Fund supports education
and research within the APA, its subsidiary organizations
or affiliated organizations.
Typical or Troubled?™
School Mental Health Education Grants
The foundation is requesting applications from community organizations,
high schools and school districts that are interested in implementing
the Typical or Troubled?™ School Mental Health Education
Program in schools in their community.
