Friends of the Foundation
Our exciting volunteer program, called Friends
of the Foundation, offers a number of ways for individuals
to help the foundation, including outreach, building local
and regional partnerships and raising financial support. Members
of Friends of the Foundation will receive regular e-mail communications
containing information about our grants and programs.
How Can I help?
Learn More About the Foundation
The more you know, the more you can do.
Subscribe to our new e-mail updates to stay abreast of foundation
activities and learn how we can work together.
Spread the Word
You believe in the foundation and its mission. Let your colleagues
know about the foundation's programs and how they can make
a contribution by sending an e-mail, speaking at a district
branch meeting, writing a letter, or making a phone call.
Your demonstration of support will encourage others to join
you in supporting the American Psychiatric Foundation.
Raise Money by Hosting
an Event or Program
There are a wide variety of ways that the foundation can work
with you to host programming in your community. From holding
a foundation fundraiser, to bringing a speaker to an event,
or providing education about our programs, we will work with
you to find the right event for your locale.
Publicize the Work of
the Foundation
Keep the work of the APF front and center by finding opportunities
to include information on the foundation in local communications.
Branch Out
The foundation's grants and programs are directed toward public
awareness of mental illnesses and the availability of treatment.
Our goals are shared by many others in your community. You
can play a role in bringing prospective partners to the attention
of the foundation.
