Make a Difference
When you support the American Psychiatric Foundation, you are investing in mental health education and research and helping to improve the lives of persons touched by mental illnesses.

Whether you are a psychiatrist, a mental health professional, a family member or a mental health consumer, you can feel confident that your contribution will make a difference by:

  • Educating the public about the importance of early recognition of mental illnesses and the need to seek treatment.
  • Promoting the removal of financial, cultural and societal barriers to quality mental health care.
  • Encouraging persons with mental illness and their caregivers to actively participate in treatment.

Join us.

There are seven ways for you to support the foundation:

  1. Support our Annual Fund Campaign
Our Annual Fund Campaign is our lifeblood, supporting the grants and programs of the foundation.

  2. Donate through the Combined Federal Campaign
Federal employees can donate to the foundation through this annual workplace fundraising drive.

  2. Make a Tribute Gift

Answering the Need
The Institute on Psychiatric Services (IPS) in partnership with the American Psychiatric Foundation (APF) is reaching out to the City of New Orleans. We have contacted NAMI New Orleans who has chosen the West Bank Friendship Club as the mental health facility most in need of help right now. Even if you are not attending the IPS meeting this year, you can still make a donation to this very worthy cause. For more information and a donation form, please click here.
