Depression Is Real
The American Psychiatric Foundation and six prominent medical, advocacy and civic groups -
collectively known as the Depression Is Real Coalition - have launched a new public education campaign about depression.
The campaign reinforces the reality that depression is a serious, debilitating disease that can be fatal if left untreated and
imparts a message of hope for recovery to the 19 million American adults who suffer from depression each year.
Visit the Depression Is Real website for a wealth of informative resources including
public service announcements
(print, radio and television in English and Spanish) and the Down & Up Show,
our exclusive audio cast series dedicated to the reality of depression.
